Melbourne is a Mecca of gorgeous interiors stores with unique finds from local artists and curated international brands… trouble is, if like me you’re not a local, it can be hard to navigate your way across the city and know just where to go.
On my latest trip to Melbourne (when I went down for the Super Amart Bed Square event), I treated myself to a day of shopping checking out some of my favourite stores like Fenton & Fenton and Norsu Interiors… but, 3 hours in and over $100 in UBER rides later, I only saw about 4 stores in total and found myself questioning where I went astray…
Turns out you need an insider to show you around and that’s why I was so excited when I discovered The White Room Interiors offer boutique interior shopping tours, exploring their favourite homeware and furniture stores where you’ll also enjoy attractive discounts at all the stores you visit.
More than just a shopping trip, you’ll also get the chance to meet store owners and designers, an opportunity to pick their brains about all the latest interior trends. Oh, and a yum cafe lunch and chauffeured bus is also included!
This is not a sponsored post, just a really awesome concept that we had to share with anyone (local or not) wanting a fun-filled day out in Melbs.
Alex Butta, one half of The White Room Interiors, tells us more.
“We’ve got two more shopping tours planned this year — South Side Luxe on October 15 and Decoration Indulgence on October 22.
“The idea for the tours came when clients continually asked us for help to source decor, art and furniture. We saw an opportunity to turn this into a fun and collaborative experience where we could take people to our favourite stores, offer styling advice throughout the day and share discounts and other perks.
“We also wanted a way to share the stories of the store owners and designers of these incredible places across Melbourne.
“People love the relaxed day out where they can be inspired and leave with wonderful new things for their home.”
