You hear us talk all the time about how important it is to have art in the home – adding interest and personality – yet finding quality artwork that’s also affordable can be a challenge.

Today we’re excited to introduce you to Alisa and Lysandra’s exclusive new artwork range with United Artworks featuring striking photography and graphic pieces in latest colour forecasts.

We chat with Alisa and Lysandra to find out more about the collection.

Alisa and Lysandra for United Artworks

This collection was curated under your creative direction, what was your inspiration?

This collection is moody, raw and very ethereal. It harnesses the power of visual detail.

“We worked with United Artworks to create a collection that’s consistent with our signature style – minimalist yet luxe, masculine yet soft, and contemporary yet understated. We looked for pieces that create the feeling of warmth and harmonious energy,” says Lysandra.

“This collection features a series of visually powerful prints that balance masculine and feminine tones and textures through the abundance and colour palette of nature.”

What motivated you to work with United Artworks on this collection?

“As interior designers we know that our projects become complete when all the finishing touches are in place and this includes artwork, which can deliver enormous emotional power in a space, more than homewares or other accessories,” explains Alisa.

“Having previously collaborated with United Artworks on a retail level, we knew they could work with to bring this collection to life.

We have always wanted to create a collection that will compliment our design style, our colour forecasts, and a collection that matches the tone of our work.

Black and white photography

Selecting artwork for the home can be such a challenge, what’s your advice?

“When you look at a specific piece of artwork, whether it’s a photographic print or an abstract piece, attraction is important. You know you’ve found the right piece if you are visually drawn to it.

“Artwork can be used to enhance your interiors by drawing visual interest. Use your existing colour palette as a guide to select a piece that will create colour continuity but also allows the introduction of an accent colour. In contrast to common opinion, it is perfectly acceptable to freshen-up or redesign your space around a piece of artwork you love.

We are very excited about launching this collection with United Artworks, who understand our vision and our design philosophy; that’s really important in translating our ideas into physical artworks.
