Meet me at Mikes

Last night Pip Lincolne from Meet Me At Mikes guest hosted an Annie Sloan Colourful Cocktails event at the QT on the Gold Coast.

There were cocktails of paint (and the kind of cocktails we like too!), upcycling furniture demonstrations, hands on DIY jewellery making, goodie bags and more!

We loved meeting the beautiful Sandy Palmer from Paint Me White! After 15 years of upcycling furniture on the side of her property management job, she decided to pursue it full time. She now has two stores where she sells her custom painted furniture, runs painted furniture workshops and retails Annie Sloan paint, homewares and vintage furniture. We hope to feature some stories with her soon!

Pip Lincolne was every bit as sunny and cheery in person as she is on her blog. Meet Me At Mikes is all about ‘good stuff for nice people’ — we like that motto!

This event was part of the 2014 Problogger Training Event we’re attending. We’re one of 500 bloggers from all over Australia (and some from even further) gathering at the Gold Coast to hear from the best of the best! It’s a great opportunity for us to meet other home-y bloggers that we can collaborate with and bring you new, weird and wonderful stories! It’s also not that bad escaping the chill of the south to hang out at the Gold Coast for four days 😉
