Are you an Australian artist or know someone who is?

Then you don’t want to miss you The Bluethumb Art Prize — an annual award that aims to raise the profile of Australian artists by supporting, recognising and celebrating their incredible talent and diversity. Oh, and there’s a life-changing $20,000 prize pool.

Australian artists are invited to enter an original signature piece that represents their unique artistic practice. The subject matter and style of the piece is left entirely to the artists discretion.

“We’ve nearly had 2000 entries,” says Freddy Grant of Bluethumb. “To put that in perspective, the Archibald usually has around 850, so we really are one of the biggest prizes in Australia.”

This is an exceptional opportuntiy for artists to showcase their work and join a supportive community of diverse Australian artists, and be in front of a nationwide audience of art collectors.

Hurry, entries close 31 January! Find out more here.
