Just landed: VIKTIGT collection at IKEA

Possibly our favourite IKEA collection yet, we just had to share VIKTIGT with you!

This limited edition handmade collection is a collaboration between Swedish glass and ceramic designer Ingegerd Råman and IKEA designers Nike Karlsson and Wiebke Braasch. Including everything from glassware to furniture, it’s a collection crafted by hands.

With a colour palette of black, white and natural timber, we love the simple forms of each piece and the combination of warm natural woven materials against elegant and simple glassware and ceramics (we have the jug sitting on our desk as we write this post).

VIKTIGT is a timeless, elegant range that is both minimal and beautiful in its design, the Swedish design sensibility is evident in every piece and every detail of this collection.

Many pieces in the collection such as the armchairs, baskets and hanging planters use natural handwoven materials like bamboo and seagrass.

Built on craftsmanship, energy and natural beauty, the designers were involved throughout the entire process, using their hands and being a part of the product development on the factory floor.

There’s something about handmade objects — perhaps that every piece is slightly different — that we adore.

Designer pieces at affordable prices, this collection is worth checking out! You can see the full range on the IKEA website or visit your local store.
