Spring is in Full Bloom at Floriade

One of the few downsides of being a blogger is the tendency to spend a lot of time behind a computer so it was such a refreshing change when this week we took some time out to enjoy the gorgeous blooms on show at Floriade.

Returning to Commonwealth Park in Canberra for the 28th year, the colourful gardens and program of events are inspired by the 2015 theme of ‘Reflection’.

As the Harrison Senior Band blasted the park in orchestral versions of popular songs like Aretha Franklin’s ‘Respect’, we strolled through the gardens taking photos of this ‘largest celebration of Spring’.

Seeing these perfectly manicured gardens has inspired us to get out and add some colour to our gardens. Did you get any gardening inspiration from these photos? Perhaps considering adding a mass planting of parsley amongst your flowers? He he 😉
