1. Roll and store in baskets

One of the easiest and most stylish ways to store beach towels is by rolling them up and placing them in a decorative basket. This method not only keeps your towels organised but also adds a touch of coastal charm to your space. Position a large wicker or seagrass basket near the back door or by the poolside for easy access. Rolling towels rather than folding them can save space and prevent creases, keeping your towels fresh and ready for use.

2. Maximise space in the linen closet

If you prefer to keep your beach towels out of sight, storing them in a linen closet is a practical option. To maximise space, fold each towel into thirds lengthwise and then fold in half or roll them. Stack the towels vertically on a shelf or store them in clear bins to keep them organised. Label the bins for quick access, especially if you have a variety of towels for different purposes (beach, bath, guest).

3. Hang on hooks by the back door

For a more decorative and accessible storage solution, consider hanging your beach towels on a series of hooks or rack by the back door. This method is perfect for households with kids, making it easy for everyone to grab their own towel before heading out. Opt for stylish hooks that match your decor, such as rustic wooden pegs or sleek metal hooks. You can even personalise each hook with names or initials to keep things organised.

This solution also works well in a mudroom or entryway where you can quickly grab a towel before heading out. Not only does this keep the towels off the floor, but it also allows them to dry properly after use, reducing mildew and odours.

4. Store in a bench with built-in storage

If you’re short on space, a bench with built-in storage can be a fantastic solution. This piece of furniture doubles as seating and storage, making it ideal for entryways or poolside patios. Store your rolled or folded beach towels inside the bench, keeping them out of sight but easily accessible.

5. Use a hanging closet organiser or under-shelf rack

If you have extra closet space, a hanging closet organiser or under-shelf rack can be a clever way to store beach towels. Hanging organisers typically have multiple shelves or compartments, allowing you to neatly stack or roll your towels. While under-shelf racks allow you to take advantage of the full height of shelves without having to pull everything out to access what you need.

Both solutions are great for keeping your towels separated and easy to find, especially if you have different sizes or types of towels. For example, it’s great for towel sets like this luxe Linen Lane towel range from Trendpose. Find more tips to organise your linen closet here.
