Ahh, Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. It’s the stylish beach destination holiday dreams are made of. Today’s home tour is the epitome of luxe holiday style — but it wasn’t always the case!
Let us take you on a tour of this incredible before and after home transformation as we explore Noa by the beach with part-owner, Debbie Wong.

Together with her husband, Wes Johnston, the couple took on this huge renovation project. Taking a once tired and dated home (those pebble floors!) and turning it into a dreamy, luxe holiday destination.
“We purchased this property in 2019 with the view to renovate. We wanted Noa by the beach to be our base for when we come back to Australia to visit friends and family,” explains Debbie.
“Renovations began almost immediately after purchase, and we finished them at the beginning of 2020. Most of the features were designed with our 3 young children and extended family in mind.
“Things like including the bunk beds for the kids, a separate media room for the grandparents, and a number of different outdoor spaces to suit both adults and kids.
“We also wanted to use it as a holiday home with the intention that our guests could bring a group of friends and family together to slow down and relax in a beautiful yet functional space.”

With Noosa National Park and the famous Noosa beach just minutes away, the outlook for this holiday home is pretty much as good as it gets.
“We’re located in an area called Little Cove. It’s pretty special as it makes you feel like you are in your own private oasis. You’ve got the treetops of the Noosa National Park, Noosa Main Beach, Little Cove Beach and Hastings Street all within walking distance.
“We chose this location as Noosa and the surrounding areas are very special to our family. My husband grew up on the Sunshine Coast and we spent a lot of time here as a family before we bought the property.
“Also being within walking distance to some of the best surf breaks was the deciding factor for Wes,” laughs Debbie.
Debbie and Wes kept some of the original features such as the exposed wooden beams, which gave the home character and contrast against the crisp whites.
“I have a relaxed, understated and natural style, and we tried to incorporate this when making selections for the interiors. We took inspiration from nature and our surrounds.
“The whole property sleeps 12 people comfortably, with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The renovation helped open up the downstairs area for a flowing open plan living, dining and kitchen area.
“It all opens up onto the large alfesco area with outdoor kitchen and dining. The facade had a freshen up too. It’s made such a difference to the look and feel of the entire home,” smiles Debbie.
