The Reno Rumble week 3 bedrooms reveals had some pretty tricky briefs to hit! ‘Relaxed Industrial’ for the Blue team and ‘Hamptons-meets-Boho’ for the Red team.
The stress is clearly starting to get to the couples and tension is at an all time high. Luckily, we like to focus on the reveals so let’s get into it!

Blue team
Ben and Jemma
Jemma had serious doubts about their bedroom and not confident with the brief she questioned whether it was a hit or total miss. The judges thought it was right on brief and loved her use of colour, saying she had a ‘great eye for colour’.
Michelle and Steve
Team captains this week, Michelle and Steve are feeling the pressure. Tonight we saw their executive decision of black gloss doors backfire and their room was the lowest scoring on the Blue team so they’ll need to fight hard to stay in the competition past this week.
Pluses for their bedroom from the judges included the reclaimed timber bedhead and shelf, lighting choices, and ceiling mounted TV.
Carly and Leighton
The top scoring couple on the Blue team this week! Carly and Leighton took a big risk to expose some of the brick to create a feature wall. We’re still not sure how we feel about the room but the judges thought it was fab. They said this room feels like it’s in the meat packing district of New York.
Red team
Kyal and Kara
Top scoring couple and winning immunity again this week is Kyal and Kara with this magical bohemian bedroom (scoring 19 1/2 out of 20). The judges couldn’t believe they had the bed custom made in so little time and felt that most of the styling was perfectly on brief, Romy just questioned the antlers and lace above the bed.
Jess and Ayden
Romy said this bedroom is just like the one the homeowner showed as her inspiration. So she gave Jess and Ayden big points for nailing the brief.
Darren loved the vertical timber panelling. He said it’s one of his favourite things and a clever way to create a feature wall without being a ‘feature wall’. Both judges thought the choice of colour palette really opened up the space and only negatives were their artwork and some of the finishes.
Josh and Jenna
Tasked with creating a guest bedroom, relaxation room and study in this small space really tested Jenna’s design skills.
Of course she found a solution and created a versatile space that hit the brief. The judges said they would have liked to see the timber panelling behind the book case carried across the entire wall. They also highlight more care should be used with the lamp ‘gift’ that was looking a little crumpled, and a more sturdy side table.
