Timeless trend alert: Gorgeous terrazzo bathrooms set to inspire

Terrazzo might feel like a trend — we’re seeing it popping up everywhere at the moment (and we are NOT mad about it!). But this playful surface is anything but new. Many designers are choosing a more modern approach to terrazzo bathrooms. We’re talking bolder colours, oversized chips and unexpected applications, giving this retro material a fresh, joy-filled edge.

Terrazzo brings personality without overpowering a space. Proof that bathrooms can be practical and fun. Come check out this round up gallery of some of our fave terrazzo bathrooms we’ve featured on Style Curator (and a few newbies too!).

Glorious grey

While we find it hard to look past that spectacular round tub (isn’t it divine?!) another fave feature in this bathroom is that terrazzo flooring and half-height wall. There’s no way you could possibly call this grey terrazzo bathroom boring! Explore the full home tour here.

Perfectly peach

The peach flecks in this terrazzo bathroom floor are, in our personal opinion, perfection. Pulling in tones from the stone basin and adding contrast with the brushed bronze tapware, this bathroom is magic. You can explore the full room tour here.

Subtle floors

Using terrazzo in the bathroom doesn’t have to mean the terrazzo is the star. In this bathroom, peachy tiles are the main event, with subtle terrazzo flooring taking a backseat (and doing it beautifully).

Terrific terracotta

Bold and bright

Staying with the bold and colourful theme, who knew that orange could look so fab in a bathroom? We wouldn’t have believed it either, until we spied this space. The soft orange walls (and ceiling) pair perfectly with the orange flecks in the terrazzo floors and wet area. Gorge!

Bold and black

This contemporary terrazzo bathroom is one for your Pintrest board. The tub alone is what first drew us to this space, but the drenching of dark terrazzo across the floors and walls ties it all together. Take a look around this black on black sleek home tour here.

Colourful craze

What’s better than 1 type of terrazzo in the bathroom? TWO, obviously! The main coloured terrazzo waterfalls down the wall, around the bath and down onto the floor. Tied in beautifully with an inverse terrazzo as the vanity top. It’s not for the faint-hearted but the outcome is pretty spectacular.
