1. DIY Easter egg wreath

Festive wreaths aren’t just for Christmas time! You may have spied that cool snake wreath in our Halloween home decorating round up so it’s no surprise we’re embracing wreaths at Easter, too.

There are endless ideas on Pinterest and Instagram on how to make an Easter wreath. Some of these can look pretty cringe so our tip is less is more, and embrace natural elements.

4. Easter egg candles

Simple and oh-so-chic, we adore these minimalist Easter egg candles. Egg and bunny silicone moulds are readily available online and generally cost under $10. Make a few in different tones by adding wax dye to suit your home’s aesthetic and style them in a vignette. They are a fab decor item in their own right and add ambient, moody lighting when burning.

Alternatively, you could wash some real eggshells and make candles directly in the shells. It’s a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative.

5. Hack an Easter table lamp

Transform a simple tall glass vase into a sweet Easter table lamp with this creative DIY project! Fill the vase with faux moss, a decorative bunny, and artificial flowers to create a festive spring scene. Then, turn it into a lamp by adding a puck light and a lampshade. Perfect for adding warmth and whimsy to your seasonal decor.

6. Speckled Easter bath bombs

A project that’s great fun with the kids and you’ll actually want to use are homemade bath bombs. You only need a few ingredients (that may already be in your cupboard) and to follow a simple bath bomb recipe.

Make them festive by picking up an egg-shaped mould and presto, Easter egg bath bombs. Use whatever essential oils you like for fragrance and get creative with colours or decorative accents — great as gifts or self-care treats.

8. Fragrant farmhouse-style fabric carrots

If you love the farmhouse aesthetic, these fabric home fragrance carrots will be for you! Best of all, you won’t need a sewing machine. Just cut a triangle of your preferred fabric, like hessian, fill with dried herbs or flowers, and finish with a sprig of rosemary. These would look sweet on an Easter table or styled in a vignette.

9. DIY bunny door mat

Easter DIYs don’t get much simpler than this! A plain door mat, printed image and a can of spray paint is all you’ll need to give your entry a festive feel.

10. Make your own Easter egg clay ornaments

Another idea for your branch Easter tree is to hang clay ornaments. You can make your own clay at home using ingredients from your pantry, and then paint and decorate them however you like. Martha Stewart used bright and pretty pastel paints, while Kim Wallace Ceramcis takes a more muted and minimalist approach.
